Bootstrapped Startup: First Engineering Hire

A bootstrapped startup needed their first engineering hire to help them ship more and accelerate their development velocity.

Since we manually vet all engineers and speak to every single one, we found an engineer who could ship quickly while being a strong cultural match. He started part-time to fit their budget, but quickly proved his value by helping them build and ship products efficiently.

As the startup grew and their development velocity increased, they brought the engineer on full-time. The success of this first hire led to continued work with us. Since then, the company has hired three engineers total through devsignal, building a development hub in Brazil.
